This is a really fun, gentle but dynamic and meditative class based on a deep understanding of exercise-based physiotherapy and traditional movement systems.It is an excellent system to improve health, happiness and longevity.
It is called ‘Five Dimensional Flow” as it is based around the 5 main ways the spine and trunk can move and fluid joint movements. It is suitable for all levels and is mainly done in a simple standing posture but you can sit on a chair or the floor if you prefer.
'Yoga Synergy' has been intelligently developed by exercise-based physiotherapists Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machliss over the last 40 years and is based on a deep understanding and sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology, modern medical science, and traditional hatha yoga.
This unique style can be adapted to any level but has the option to incorporate postures that have the option for resistance exercise and weight-bearing on the arms, simple to complex movements, and the possibility of using simple relaxed natural breathing or advanced breath-control. This practice can be a dynamic moving meditation that links postures with breath.
This fluid practice uses and builds on the teaching of the '5 Dimensional Flow'System. Each posture in the practice begins by moving actively from the core rather than locking the core as is practiced elsewhere.
