BEGINNERS: Always wanted to try yoga but not sure where to start?

You don’t need to change your entire life to bring the benefits of yoga into it on a regular basis. You don't have to change your diet or your philosophical or religious beliefs. Whether you want to just start a new exercise routine or change your lifestyle, yoga can provide a pathway that enriches your life in many ways. Yoga will improve your mind-body connection, improve your breathing patterns, and balance your body. By focusing on breathing and alignment, it is vastly different to other exercise programs, and offers a more balanced approach to exercise.

Benefits of Yoga Classes

By learning the basic foundation poses, and simple breathing patterns you will learn how relax on a level often not easily reached. Classes are safe, and non-competitive and our instructors are there to make sure you are not confused or left behind.

Other benefits

Yoga is not just aerobic or physical exercise like other fitness programs. By concentrating on the connection between body, breath and mind, it aids in alleviating stress, anxiety and pain. As well as improving your strength and balance, if you are experiencing stress or anxiety, practising long and smooth yoga breathing will work to normalise your nervous system.

It can also improve attention span, lower levels of depression, and improve your mental and emotional state. Yoga is not a new unproven fad. It has changed the lives of millions of people for the better.

EXPERIENCED YOGI? ...so are we...

Our Yoga teachers are some of the most experienced in Byron Bay. Their primary aim is improving your health through yoga, while not putting you in harm’s way.

Our yoga classes utilise a hands-on approach where you aren’t just attending a class while the teacher practices a routine. Our yoga teachers are there to correct you, properly explaining the positions, and the reasons for them to make sure you get maximum benefit from attending.

We do not practice “paint-by-numbers yoga” where you simply follow the same routine each time being demonstrated by theteacher. You will be taught yoga, not just attend a class. This ensures you get the most from every class and achieve the best result for you in the shortest possible time.
