Harriet has worked in the field of health for 18 years, across three continents. Her personal background is a mix of four cultures and she is proud of all of them. She has always been fascinated by the similarities and differences across people.
Harriet uses the science of Yoga and Health Psychology to inform tailored practices for each client’s needs. She begins by exploring your needs, and then integrates practical activities. This may include breathing training, meditation, functional movement, and evidence-based techniques from psychology.
This differs from the usual yoga class in that it integrates techniques from psychology, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, (CBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with the individualised yoga practice.
Harriet has taught over 2200 classes, over 100 workshops and over 35 retreats internationally, at festivals, schools, youth centres, retreat centres, studios, community centres, libraries, corporates and beyond.
Classes with Harriet offer you a chance to build a better relationship with yourself: body, mind, and spirit, and also with others. People leave feeling calm, more in balance, more motivated and overall much better afterwards, and have simple techniques on hand to use when needed.
