Reformer Pilates

Reformer classes are 45 minutes and a fantastic way to improve strength and flexibility whilst having fun. Using the Pilates Reformer machine you will work on balance, alignment, core strength and muscle tone. The Reformer machine adjusts to suit your individual strength and flexibility. Within a supervised group class of no more than 10 people, you'll be guided through a varied routine every session.

ABOUT PILATES

Pilates is a body conditioning program designed to teach efficient movement patterns and provide general wellbeing using controlled exercises and deliberate breathing patterns. To optimise the benefits Pilates exercises are best performed 3-5 times per week for toning, sculpting & changing faulty movement patterns. 

For those that have tried Pilates before and think Pilates Feels Easy, You're Doing It Wrong. The correct technique and breathing is where the power is!

These classes will develop your core stability by focusing on the correctness of the movement rather than repetition. Correct application of Pilates Principles is about how to move and what to focus on.

If you’re not performing the exercises with proper form and control, you will not get the results that correctly performed pilates has to offer. Watching Pilates video's is not a substitute for an experienced qualified pilates instructor.

At Bodyhealz Recovery Studio, we focus on an assisted approach to all classes. The classes we run promote body awareness through focused and precise exercises. By employing these techniques your body learns (and re-learns) how to move at its most optimal level.

The focus in these classes will be on understanding and applying Pilates principles not just learning the exercises. There are hands on adjustments in all classes to ensure you continue to develop as you practice.
